9 "I pray for them. I do not pray for the world but for those whom You have given Me, for they are Yours. 10 And all Mine are Yours, and Yours are Mine, and I am glorified in them.
C) Jesus Desire to be GLORIFIED IN US !!! – Incarnation

John 17:11-12
11 Now I am no longer in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to You. Holy Father, keep through Your name those whom You have given Me, that they may be one as We are. 12 While I was with them in the world, I kept them in Your name. Those whom You gave Me I have kept;& none of them is lost except the son of perdition, that the Scripture might be fulfilled.
1st Request: Keep them in your Name
A)When Jesus was w/ them – He Kept them in the Lord:
He kept them on target – Now He was asking the Father to Keep them
B) Father Keep them close to You –
C) I believe that it is impossible to Fall away from
the Lord Why?
1) Jude 24 Now to Him who
is able to keep you from falling, And to present you faultless Before the presence of His glory with
exceeding joy,
D) He is able to keep us from falling
Also impossible to be taken away from the Lord -
John 10:28
I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand
A)Impossible to fall away / Impossible to be taken
away – but it is Possible to Walk away

God is not going to keep you against your will – Not going to be a
Prisoner
B) But if you want to be close to God – if you want to
be Kept by God – He will Keep you in his name –
C) You are His Child – He will teach you thru the
Word –
2 Tim 3:16,17
16All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is
profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in
righteousness, 17that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly
equipped for every good work.
B) The Bible is Unique in its origin because it is inspired by God – God Breathed – He instructed the writers on what to write

It is profitable for DOCTRINE (what is
right), for REPROOF
(what
is not right), for CORRECTION (how to
get right),

and
for INSTRUCTION in righteousness (how to stay right).
D) Because you are His Child – He will Protect you

Warn you against – temptation & Compromise – Conviction of the
Spirit
E) He will Discipline you in your Rebellion –
1)
All ways of God keeping you
2nd Request v.13 His Joy fulfilled in
them John 17:13 But now I come to You, and these
things I speak in the world, that they may have My joy fulfilled in themselves.
A)Jesus Joy – Jesus others You – His Secret – The
Father first / others 2nd –
B) Joy in Knowing that God is in Control – Joy in
knowing you are in His Plan –

Joy
in doing the fathers will / Joy in Fulfilling Their Purpose
3rd Request: V.14,15 Kept from the
evil one: 14
I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them because they are not
of the world, just as I am not of the world.
15 I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that
You should keep them from the evil one.
B) How Kept Rom.12 – Renewing of your mind – reason

C) V.17 Sanctify by the Word – John 17:16-19
16 They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. 17 Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth. 18 As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world. 19 And for their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they also may be sanctified by the truth.
